Hobbit Baby
My son is a Hobbit. We better contact the Shire. He just finished his second breakfast. I'm sure he isn't transforming into a Hobbit. My guess is a growth spurt. Either way I will be watching his feet closely for increase in hair and size......

Update: Cashmania!
Hello blog world. It has been a while. When I try to use my laptop when Cash is out and about he tries to rip the screen off and gets so mad when I won't let him. When he is sleeping I try to clean up some of the messes we have made, start dinner, shower, laundry, brush my teeth, and rest if I have time.
Being Cash's mom has been a full time job. I love him so much. He is so much fun. He loves Finding Nemo right now. He points at the TV and says "fwysh". Steven and I took him to the Aquarium. He loved it. I honestly think he could stay there all day.
Our little man will be 1 in a week. I can barely believe it. Has it really already been a year? Was I seriously 9 months pregnant this time last year? I was so swollen and sweaty. YUCK!
At 11 months Cash started walking. Yep, taking steps. That quickly turned into strides and now I swear he is running! He is almost a professional walker. Squid hates it. He gets chased all over the house. Poor kitty.
A lot of our friends are having kid #2, #3, and even #4 (I'm talking about you Jake and Toni). How do you do it? How do you get not just yourself ready but your handful of kids? I can barely get Cash and I ready before one in the afternoon. I am terrified to have another kid. I know Cash needs to be a big brother but how can I survive a toddler while being pregnant? What about after #2 makes his/her appearance? How do I put a baby down for naps with a toddler? Or BF the baby with Cash? Will he be jealous? Will he start wanting a baby doll (judge if you must but I will not let him have a doll)? Will kid #2 be terrible?
Cash has been a handful but also so easy in some aspects. He is just an awesome person. He has a wonderful personality. I love him.
I will try and update more often. I will try and post his birthday pictures too.

Project Scrapbook
I am not a scrapbooker. I sew. However, I want to make Cash a book of his first year. How do I make cute text boxes with stuff like his birthday, things I liked to eat while I was pregnant, what he was like each month....
These pictures are not glued in yet. I'm too nervous to make it permanent. Any suggestions before I get started?

5 Months Old
I love this boy. Today was scary. I could have lost him forever. I hope I remember how precious every moment is.
Nickname: Rollie Polley
Weight:18 pounds
Favorite Person: Dad and Mom
Favorite Toy: Puppy
Whats New: I drink soy formula because my belly was upset. I feel much better now. I try to grab Squid every chance I get. I love sleeping in my car seat. Being naked rocks! I love to talk everyone's ear off!
I can roll from my back to my belly effortlessly and I can sit up for a few minutes at a time without any help. ;)

A Mothers Love
You are home to him. When he learns to walk, he will wobble a few feet away from you and then come back, then wobble away a little farther and then come back. When he tries something new, he will look for your proud smile. When he learns to read, he will repeat the same book to you twenty times in a row, because you're the only one who will listen that many times. When he plays his sport, he will search for your face in the stands. When he is sick, he will call you. When he really messes up, he will call you. When he is grown and strong and tough and big and he feels like crying, he will come to you; because a man can cry in front of his mother without feeling self-conscious. Even when he grows up and has a new woman in his life and gets a new home, you are still his mother; home base, the ever constant, like the sun. Know that in your heart and everything else will fall into place.

Weight on my Chest
Usually you wish for the weight on your chest to go away but I wish mine would return. Cash use to sleep on my chest. I loved it. He was so sweet. I felt so close to him. He now is as long as my torso so laying on my chest is not possible. I miss that. He will be 4 months tomorrow. I miss him. I love the boy he is becoming but I want my little lima bean back. He was so cute and cuddly. He would sleep in my arms all day.

3 months old
Dear Cash,
You are already 3 months old! I can't believe it. This time last year I was pregnant with you and had no idea. I was scared and excited to take a pregnancy test. I wanted you so bad. Around this time I was eating egg salad sandwiches by the 'shloads' (as your dad would say). I couldn't get enough of it! I loved egg salad sandwiches. Who knew it was you that really liked them. I haven't touched one since you were born. I doubt I will ever eat them again.
At three months you are a crazy man. You like to stand, sit, play with your jungle gym, talk, talk and talk, you are starting to grab your toes and you almost roll over from your back to your belly. When we put you on your belly you scoot. You aren't crawling yet but I am sure you will soon. You look like a break dancer on the floor. You twist and turn and spin in circles. It is so cute!
Cash, we love you so much. I love to see you change daily. You learn something new every single day. You are already wearing 6-9 month size clothing! It is because you are so dang long!! You didn't get length from us that is for sure. We are short. Maybe you inherited your giant stature from your Grandpa Bill?
We love you Cash. You rock.
-xoxo
