Story Time

Steven had the morning off (left at 10am) today. I love late mornings. He loves being here with Cash. He loves how groggy he is and how he has to have a sippy with milk while watching Spongebob. He gets to see how he asks for 'num num' once his brain wakes up and how he plays with his cars and poops (every morning). He got to see how we function in the morning. It was fun. 

So on with the story: Cash was walking around the house complaining. Steven asked Cash if he was tired and if he needed to go 'nah night'. He waved goodbye to us, walked into his room and disappeared. We follow him in after about a minute and he is on his floor next to his crib laying on his blanket. We gave him kisses and put him in bed. He was asleep within seconds. Cute kid was TIRED! 

I love seeing him understand things. He knows where he sleeps, he knows what 'nah night' means. He understands more than I give him credit for. He is so smart. He is turning into such a funny little man. 

I hope you enjoy the story time. He was a blast with dada this morning. He just loves his dada so much.

I sing this to Cash every night before bed. Why? Because it was the only song I could think of one night and it put Cash right to sleep.  Steven told me he loves that I sing our baby to sleep with a Johnny Cash song. Cash loves it. He falls asleep with a smile on his face.

6 Month Old Lover Boy

This guy is amazing!! Everyday I become more an more in love with him. He is exactly what we wanted and more when we started trying to have a baby.

6 Months Old

My little sk8ter boy! I love this guy. He was brave when he got shots today. I rewarded him (and myself) with that sign for his room. It's an awesome sign for an awesome boy. Wow, I love this guy!

Project Scrapbook

I am not a scrapbooker. I sew. However, I want to make Cash a book of his first year. How do I make cute text boxes with stuff like his birthday, things I liked to eat while I was pregnant, what he was like each month....
These pictures are not glued in yet. I'm too nervous to make it permanent. Any suggestions before I get started?

5 Months Old

I love this boy. Today was scary. I could have lost him forever. I hope I remember how precious every moment is.

Nickname: Rollie Polley
Weight:18 pounds
Favorite Person: Dad and Mom
Favorite Toy: Puppy
Whats New: I drink soy formula because my belly was upset. I feel much better now. I try to grab Squid every chance I get. I love sleeping in my car seat. Being naked rocks! I love to talk everyone's ear off!
I can roll from my back to my belly effortlessly and I can sit up for a few minutes at a time without any help. ;)

Weight on my Chest

Usually you wish for the weight on your chest to go away but I wish mine would return. Cash use to sleep on my chest. I loved it. He was so sweet. I felt so close to him. He now is as long as my torso so laying on my chest is not possible. I miss that. He will be 4 months tomorrow. I miss him. I love the boy he is becoming but I want my little lima bean back. He was so cute and cuddly. He would sleep in my arms all day. 

He is becoming more and more a little human. I love it. He changed so much from day one. I hope that he continues to grow and be healthy and smart. I love how wonderful he is I just wish he still fit on my chest at nap time.

3 months old

Dear Cash,
You are already 3 months old! I can't believe it. This time last year I was pregnant with you and had no idea. I was scared and excited to take a pregnancy test. I wanted you so bad. Around this time I was eating egg salad sandwiches by the 'shloads' (as your dad would say). I couldn't get enough of it! I loved egg salad sandwiches. Who knew it was you that really liked them. I haven't touched one since you were born. I doubt I will ever eat them again.

At three months you are a crazy man. You like to stand, sit, play with your jungle gym, talk, talk and talk, you are starting to grab your toes and you almost roll over from your back to your belly. When we put you on your belly you scoot. You aren't crawling yet but I am sure you will soon. You look like a break dancer on the floor. You twist and turn and spin in circles. It is so cute!

Cash, we love you so much. I love to see you change daily. You learn something new every single day. You are already wearing 6-9 month size clothing! It is because you are so dang long!! You didn't get length from us that is for sure. We are short. Maybe you inherited your giant stature from your Grandpa Bill?

Happy Halloween

Chatty Cash

Every morning Cash and I flirt and chit chat. After I feed him he likes to play and talk. It is so cute. I love this guy. He's fabulous. I love being his mom.

My Sleepers

 

My  men sleep in the exact same position. I have always loved how Steven sleeps with his hands above his head. He has always slept like this. It has never changed. The first time we saw Cash sleep he had his hands up. The nurses tried so hard to swaddle him with his arms down but he would fight until his arms came out of his blanket. 

Cash has Stevens eyes, nose, chin, round face, and cute little toes. He also sleeps just like his daddy. I love how much he is like Steven. 

I love my little family!

Walking Around Herriman

Cash and I have been walking around the block lately. We then decided to take alternate routes and have ended up in some awesome parks and super cute neighborhoods. We pass by schools during recess and Cash perks right up. It's like he wants to go play. Today he chatted with me most of the walk. It was so cute. It was like we were just having a little conversation about how nice it was outside and we gossiped about some of the yard we passed and how they should get out there more and make it nicer.

I told Cash about how his daddy proposed to me and what I thought about him the first time I met him. Cash smiled and almost laughed. I told him about how his dad and I wanted a baby so bad. I told him how meeting him for the first time was something I could never explain and how it was the best moment of my life so far. It was the moment when Steven and I were no longer just the two of us and became the three of us.

Needless to say, we had a LONG walk. I got carried away chatting with my boy and flirting with him. We had left Riverton and entered Herriman. That sounds like some amazing accomplishment but it wasn't as much as you think. We live right on the border of the two.

I didn't take pictures while we walked. I should have but we were having so much fun chatting that I didn't want to take away from our time.

I took this picture right before I loaded him in the stroller. He was trying to talk to me. I think it's cute that his tongue is sticking out. I love this guy.

This wire thing was left here when we moved in. So instead of throwing it out I re purposed it. What do you think? Love it? I am going to paint the pins black. Any suggestions?

Little Rad Cash: 1 Week Today!

Cash was born one week ago today! I was just getting my epidural right about now. I was excited and nervous for this little person to arrive. Steven and I were in the hospital room trying to figure out what this little person would be. A girl or a boy. At 1835 when Dr. Hansen told us "it's a big boy" we felt as if we knew this all along. Our Little Rad Cash was here and we were SO happy. All the pain and exhaustion was worth it 100%. 

We love you Cash. You are the perfect addition to our family.
